South west of Adelaide, separated from the Australian mainland is Kangaroo Island.
Travel to the island is by a 40-minute ferry ride from Cape Jervis on the mainland or via a
30-minute flight from Adelaide Airport. Kangaroo Island is just 16 kilometres off the tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula and has 480 kilometres of coastline.

Travelling by the main road towards Kingscote, approximately 15km from Penneshaw, is a well marked sign post on the left hand side, directing you to Island Beach.
